INTERCEPTOR wins Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. at Full Tilt

Sunday night H.O.R.S.E at Full Tilt Poker brought out the mixed games players in force for another installment of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. 191 players put down the $216 entry fee to take their shot at the $10,505 top prize. Several red pros made an appearance as well. Alan Boston, Chris Ferguson, Cyndy Violette, Jon Turner, Michael Craig, Scott Clements, Scott Fischman, and Stuart Patterson were among the red pros in attendance. Other notables included Thayer Rassmusen aka “THAY3R”, and Brian Micon. Last weekend’s winner FlyingCBar and runner-up Deanwinchester9 were also in the mix.

The Full Tilt red pro contingent did not have a very good day overall and in fact only three made the top 1/3rd of the field. Cyndy Violette, Esther Rossi, and Michael Craig were the only red pros remaining when we reached crunch time. Violette was in or near the top 10 in chips for a good portion of the day and was looking as a likely candidate to cash in the event.

FlyingCBar and Deanwinchester9 did not fare very well in this event and were out well before the money. However, last weeks 6th place finisher, YouGotLeveled was in the top 12 in chips with 66 players left and was looking to perhaps make a run to the final table for the 2nd straight week.

Unfortunately, YouGotLeveled hit a dry run of cards and wound up finishing in 34th place. Both Michael Craig and Ester Rossi were also pre-bubble casualties. The_witt was our bubble boy for the event, busting out in 25th place. Cyndy Violette was the only red pro to make the money and was in the middle of the pack as post-bubble play started. Brian Micon was able to chip his way up through the field and was in 2nd place at this point with nearly 47,000 chips.

Cyndi Violette hung on around the middle of the pack until she rank into a nut flush in the nut flush of INTERCEPTOR. She was left crippled at that point.

Amazingly, Violette was able to make a strong comeback from being down to just 1,500 chips after splitting a pot in Omaha 8 and then making a river 7 low in Razz to move up to around 10,000 in chips. Cardsharps_net was eliminated on the very next hand when his pocket threes were outdrawn by the 8-7 of INTERCEPTOR. (Notice a pattern here?) He became our 4th place finisher and received $3,056.
