Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. 4/12/09

This weeks edition of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. at Full Tilt Poker saw 160 players put up $216 each to take a shot at the $9,600 top prize. Only six Full Tilt red pros turned out for the event. Those playing in the event were Diego Cordovez, Jon Turner, Keith Sexton, Paul Sexton, Michael Craig, and Stuart Patterson. Last weeks champion Santanico returned to defend her title and runner-up finisher Greg Hobson “DuckU” was also in the field. Santanico would make it deep in this one but eventually was involved in a three way all in hand with Jon Turner and PimplyTeen in Razz. In the end, Turner held a 9 and Santanico a 10 and Santanico’s run at a defense was over.

Justakid was the bubble boy of the event. The only Full Tilt pro to make the money was Jon Turner he was up and down near the bubble but was able to make the money as one of the short stacks. Turner would finally go all-in during Omaha Hi-Lo and was eliminated in 10th when his flush draw missed.

Then Jackz101poker became grinded down to around 100,000 in chips. Razz continued to be unkind as he was ultimately ground down to his last 18,000 in chips. He was able to build that back up to 82,000 before being ground back down to 37,000.

The game then switched to stud hi and jakz101poker was able to get back up to 80,000. Jackz101poker then went all-in with king high against the ace high of Merksick. Jakz101poker was able to catch a pair of kings but Merksick was able to hit runner runner two pair to outdraw Crain. Eric “Jakz101poker” Crain became our 2nd place finisher.

Merksick came roaring back from near elimination to win this weeks edition of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. This was the 2nd final table for Merksick in a month, but this time he took it down. He took home $9,600 for his efforts and bragging rights until next Sunday.
