Jimmybluffi is this week’s champion of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E.

The World Series of Poker likely had an affect on the attendance on Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. Only 131 players put up the $216 buy-in resulting in a top prize of $9,000. Only four Full Tilt Poker red pros showed up for the event. Stuart Paterson, Scott Fischman, Kristy Gazes, and Diego Crodovez were the red pros in attendance. Other notables in attendance were DuckU, INTERCEPTOR, Squirrely1 and defending champion SNACKERS. Yuvee04 is Yuval Bronshtein and is a 2 time FTOPS winner.

None of the red pros were able to make the money this week. Scott Fishman came the closest, finishing in 25th place. Only 16 spots would be paid in this event with dph50 coming in as this week’s bubble boy. INTERCEPTOR, Squirrely1, and SNACKERS would all three make the money, and ultimately the final table.

Yuvee04 and crouts would make a little ground, but just enough to stay ahead of the ante. Eventually, the two would square off in a pot where one would stand and one would fall. Yuvee04 was all-in with kings against the pair of fours and straight draw of crouts. Jimmybluffi held an 8 to 1 chip lead at the start of heads-up play and it didn’t take him long to finish off crouts. All of the money went in on 4th street with Jimmybluffi holding a pair of queens and crouts holding three cards to a low and an ace for a high card. Crouts would only improve to a pair of nines and the queens of Jimmybluffi were enough to make him our champion.

Jimmybluffi had the rare luxury of holding the chip lead nearly the entire final table. He briefly relinquished it to yuvee04, but would eventually retake it and separate himself from the rest of the field. Eventually, he held such a lead that he could primarily play strong hands and take shots at eliminating the short stacks. This strategy worked well as when heads-up was reached, his opponent had to go into desperation mode to try and survive, but would fall short.

Jimmybluffi is this week’s champion of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. He takes home exactly $9,000 for his great run. Next Sunday is the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. at the WSOP, so attendance will likely be around the same as this week, if not a little lower with a lot of pros playing in this event and the event having a 5 p.m. pacific start time.
