Gdrchgrl wins Sunday Night H.o.r.s.e
This week’s edition of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E at Full Tilt started with 139 player looking to take down the $9,000 first place prize. Attendance is down due to a combination of online poker series currently going on, including Mini-Ftops. Only five Full Tilt Poker red pros turned out for the even with Michael Craig finishing the deepest, busting out in 29th place.
Only 16 players finished in the money in this event with Lemme Know taking the bubble prize in 17th. The final table started with gdrchgrl having a 4 to 1 chip lead over the next nearest competitor. Defending champions CzarBushov also made the final table and looked to repeat as champion. This is how the final eight started final table play:
Krengon43 14,411
jnoco 21,858
gdrchgrl 200,519
Misclicker 10,504
dontcallmejon 31,098
CzarBushov 52,888
torden 46,482
PD_THE_HOUSE 39,240
This was one of the fastest final tables in recent memory. Play started during the Limit Holdem round and amazingly, we were done before the completion of Razz.
Krengon43 was the first player eliminated from the final table. He was all-in pre-flop with both gdrchgrl and dontcallmejon making the call. Dontcallmejon three-bet all-in at the river on a board of Ac-4d-10h-Qh-Kh. Gdrchgrl made the call and showed Ks-Jh for broadway. Dontcallmejon showed Ad-Js for the same hand. They chopped the side pot and Krengon43 mucked. Krengon43 finished the day in 8th place.
CzarBushov, gdrchgrl, and PD_THE_HOUSE saw a flop of 8d-8c-5d and CzarBushov bet out. PD_THE_HOUSE raisd and gdrchgrl got out of the way. CzarBushov called and the turn fell the 9c. CzarBushov then check-raised PD_THE_HOUSE and he made the all-in call. CzarBushov showed pocket nines for nines-full and PD_THE_HOUSE was drawing dead with his Ad-Qc. The river 3c was meaningless and PD_THE_HOUSE got paid in 7th.
Jnoco was all-in and drawing dead two hands later. At the turn, the board read Ah-6h-Qs-Ks. Jnoco bet out and was raised by gdrchgrl. Jnoco made the call but found his Ac-7c drawing dead to gdrchgrl’s Jd-10d for the turned straight. Jnoco finished in 6th.
Three hands into the Omaha round we had our next elimination. Three players saw a flop of Qs-5d-3h. Misclicker raised a bet from gdrchgrl and dontcallmejon folded. Gdrchgrl three-bet and Misclicker called all-in. Gdrchgrl held 6s-5c-4s-3d for two pair and straight draw. Misclicker held As-8h-4h-7d for a gutshot straight draw and wheel draw. The turn and river both fell big cards and gdrchgrl’s two pair sent Misclicker out in 5th.

A few hands later, dontcallmejon capped the pot pre-flop with CzarBushov. He then put called a raise all-in on a flop of Ad-9d-10c. Dontcallmejon was in possibly the worst scenario he could have hoped for. He had flopped two pair with 10h-5h-9s-2s but was behind to the As-Ac-9h-Jd His only hope of winning the hand was running wheel cards or running 10’s. He caught the first 10 on the turn and was left drawing to one out for the win. The river fell the 2c to give CzarBushov the win and send dontcallmejon out in 3rd.
CzarBushov made a brilliant shove for his tournament life during Razz. He had a made 10 on 5th and faced the hole cards of A-2-5 from his opponent. He raised all-in with his 10 and was called by gdrchgrl who held only a made jack. Gdrchgrl did have a redraw to an 8 with CzarBushov having a nine redraw. The turn gave gdrchgrl an 8-5 low and CzarBushov now had a redraw to a seven. However, CzarBushov paired on the river to fall in 3rd place. CzarBushov has had a great two week run, winning last week and finishing in 3rd this week.
Heads-up play started with gdrchgrl holding 274,918 in chips to torden’s 142,082. Torden was the only player all final table to even give her a legitimate run for her money. However, in the end, gdrchgrl was running too good. After taking a huge 97,400 pot during Razz, she chipped away over the next few hands. Finally, she had him all-in and behind. She held a made jack with a redraw to an eight and torden held a made queen with a 10 redraw. Both caught a nine on sixth street. This gave torden a made 10 with a 9-7 redraw and gdrchgrl a made 9-8 with 8-6 redraw. Both players paired their river card and gdrchgrl is the winner of Sunday Night HORSE. Torden finished in 2nd and took home $6,000 for his strong finish.
Sometime the outcome of a game is pretty much known at the start of the final table. Gdrchgrl started the final table with a nearly insurmountable chip lead. She played somewhat loose to start with but never let herself drop below the 200,000 chip mark. Later in the final table, she started hitting her hands. A massive chip lead and running good equals to winning.
Gdrchgrl is this weeks Sunday Night HORSE poker champion. She received $9,000 for taking down the shortest final table of the year. Congratulation.
