QueenLM wins Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E
The October 11th edition of Full Tilt Poker’s Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. saw 163 players log on to take their shot at the $32,600 prize pool. First place awarded $8.965 and 24 spots were paid. Only seven Full Tilt red pros turned out for the event but three made the money. Cyndy Violette, John Cernutto, and Michael Craig all received a payday.
Doc793 was the unfortunate bubble boy of the event, finishing in 25thplace. Goldfishman7 finished in 19th, and “Miami” John Cernuto finished in 16th. Michael Craig, Chris Moorman, and Cyndy Violette both headlined the final table of this event.
This is how the final eight started play:
Cyndy Violette 60,174
Trag_Dusty 83,988
wizfromoz 17,640
Michael Craig 61,297
lobeauxx 99,434
QueenLM 71,995
Steve “thorladen” Weinstein 68,990
Chris “MoormanI” Moorman 25,482
Chris Moorman was the first player eliminated from the final. He got his remaining 13k in during Razz with 10-4-2 and was against the A-3-5 of lobeauxx. MoormanI made a ten by fifth and an eight by the river. However, lobeauxx picked up a four card six on fifth and completed his six-low on the river to seen MoormanI out in 8th.
A big three-way hand developed during the Stud round that saw two players all-in, including Michael Craig. Craig was all-in on 3rd street for two-bets and lobeauxx three-bet. Wizfromoz made the call. Wizfromoz raised on 4th with a K-10 showing against lobeauxx’s J-10 showing. Wizfromoz then bet out on all subsequent streets, with lobeauxx calling all-in at the river. Wizfromoz showed kings-up, which was good enough to win the main pot and eliminate lobeauxx in 7th place. The reason it was 7th was that Craig took the main pot with aces-up and tripled up to 38,491.
Michael Craig’s double up was short lived. The betting between him and Cyndy Violette was capped on third during Stud with him showing a jack and her showing a five. On fourth, Violette caught a pair of fives and bet out. Craig moved all-in for 14,991 total and was called. He then found out just how screwed he was. Cyndy started with buried queens and held queens-up and Craig held queen-high and a three straight. He picked up a broadway draw on sixth, but finished with only a pair of threes. Michael Craig finished in 6th place.
Steve Weinstein was the next player eliminated. He was all-in during stud 8 for less than a completion with Q-J-4 and faced the Q-5-2 of QueenLM. QueenLM caught a pair of fives on fourth and that was all that she needed. By the river, she picked up two pair all that Weinstein could muster is king-high. Weinstein finished in 5th place.

The very next hand, Trag_Dusty capped the betting at third and was all-in with split jacks. He faced split eights with an ace from QueenLM. QueenLM caught aces up on fourth and all that Trag_Dusty could manage by the river was jacks-up. Trag_Dusty finished in 4th.

Two hands later, wizfromoz was all-in on 3rd for 19,862 with split threes with a deuce and faced split fives from QueenLM. QueenLM never trailed in the hand and at the river, QueenLM held eight’s up against the sevens-up from wizfromoz. Wizfromoz finished in 3rd.

At this point, Cyndy Violette held a 350,665 to 138,335 chip lead over QueenLM in what was an all-ladies heads-up match. Violette ground QueenLM down to 47,335 before QueenLM went on a monumental run. To say she ran well was an understatement. Every big pot went her way. One hand, Violette flopped two pair and QueenLM rivered a flush draw. Another hand, Violette held A-K against the A-5 of QueenLM and both an ace and five hit the flop. Later, QueenLM flopped two pair holding K-6 offsuit. The hand that crippled Violette saw QueenLM pick up A-Q of diamonds and flop a flush draw, she caught her flush at the river and Violette raised. QueenLM three-bet and Violette called and mucked to the nut flush. After the hand, she was left with only 29,665.
Violette blinded down trying to get to Omaha and it paid off for her as she was able to double up a couple of times to make it interesting again. However, she never got back over 100,000. Ultimately, she was all-in with 8-3-5-2 on a J-5-2 board. QueenLM held A-A-J-6 and needed some help. That help came on the turn when it fell the 6s. She now had the high and could draw to low. The low came for her when the river fell the 7c fell to give her a live ace and the scoop. Cyndy Violette finished an incredulous 2nd place.
QueenLM is this weeks winner of Sunday Night HORSE. Just when it seemed that Cyndy Violette would take one down for the red pros, QueenLM went a run from God and took down the title. QueenLM won $8,965 and has a great story to tell her friends.
Congratulations to QueenLM, Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E Champion.
