NestOfSalt wins SUNDAY NIGHT H.O.R.S.E. for second time
The January 24th edition of Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. drew a paltry 100 players, leaving an overlay of $10,000 for players. Top prize was $9,000 with sixteen players paid. Two Full Tilt Poker Red pros made the money and one was the unfortunate bubble. S Gromenkova finished on the bubble in 17th. Cyndy Violette finished in 14th and Diego Cordovez fell just short of the final table, finishing in 10th.
Former champion NestofSalt was among those at the final table. Maxinlv, tengiz1313, and The Prescott all made the final table as well. The following were the final 8:
maxinlv
The Prescott
SoftJoe
cane3418
LunisticTweak
NestOfSalt
kyct1969
tengiz1313
Tengiz1313 was the first player eliminated from the final table. He was all-in during a Stud Hi-lo round with a pair of jacks showing. Maxinlv made the call with split aces and eventually made aces up by the river. Tengiz1313 could not outdraw and was knocked out in 8th.
Cane3418 was the next knocked out during Stud 8. Cane3418 was all-in with A-2-3 and was called by NestOfSalt with buried aces. By fifth, NestOfSalt caught trip aces but cane3418 had a seven low draw. The river gave cane3418 a ten and NestOfSalt a scoop. Cane3418 was eliminated in 7th.
Maxinlv was eliminated in 6th place and shortly thereafter, LunisticTweak was all-in during Omaha. The Prescott made the call and turned broadway on the turn. LunisticTweak could not catch a broadway of his own and was out in 5th place.
SoftJoe was all-in during Razz on fourth with 7-4-3-2 and was called by the 7-3-2-2 of The Prescott. SoftJoe caught a queen on fifth to make a queen and The Prescott caught a four to pick up a seven draw. SoftJoe caught a king on sixth and The Prescott double paired. The river fell an eight for SoftJoe and an ace for The Prescott. The Prescott’s seven sent SoftJoe and his eight to the rail in 4th.
Kyct1969 was the third player to fall during the Razz round. He was all-in on 6th with an 9 low with a redraw to an 8-7. Unfortunately, he was drawing dead as The Prescott had an 8-5 low made. The river gave kyct1969 his eight, but it was 2nd best. As a result, we were heads-up.
Heading into heads-up play, The Prescott held a 172,813 to 127,187 lead over NestOfSalt. NestofSalt turned things around during Stud, taking two large pots in three hands to take the chip lead. The final hand occurred during Stud Hi-lo.

The Prescott moved all0in with A-7-4-Q and was called by NestOfSalt with 7-6-6-4. Fifth gave NestOfSalt two pair and ThePrescott needed running pairs to win the hand. Sixth street failed to bring a pair and he was drawing dead. Seventh street gave NestOfSalt two pair with a seven low and the title.
This is the second Sunday Night H.O.R.S.E. title for NestOfSalt. He took home $9,000 for first place.
