DimJarnaby35 wins Sunday Night H.o.r.s.e

The October 25th edition of Sunday Night HORSE drew a healthy field of 151 mixed games players looking to take this weekly championship. The prize pool just barely met its guarantee with a total prize pool of $30,200. First place was $9,060 and 16 players paid.

Most of the Full Tilt red pros decided to take this week off with only five showing up for this event. WSOP-E HORSE winner Thomas Bihl and Cyndy Violette headlined the red pros. Diego Crodovez finished as the high man among the pros in 39th place, but was well short of the money.

Mike Leah “GoLeafsGoEh”,INTERCEPTOR, Micon, and SNACKERS all were in the field, but fell well short of the money. Aestheticguy was this weeks bubble boy, finishing in 17th place. Pokerfan X has had a habit of making HORSE final tables recently, and this week was no exception. He headlined the final 8 players that included foo flaw, icedevil66, jason5599, Sheriffen, meadowlark, ThePokerGeek, and DimJarnaby35.
Meadowlark was the first player to fall from the final table, finishing in 8th place and taking home $724.80. Pokerfan X made yet another final table, but also failed to take it down yet again. He finished in 7th place, taking $906 in the process. Sherrifen was gunned down in 6th place and won $1,208.

jason5599 5th

Jason5599 was down to his last 11,312 chips during stud 8 and put them in on 3rd with 8s-4c-3s. Icedevil66 called and held Ac-2c-5c. Fourth improved both. Jason5599 caught a 2s, but icedevil66 caught the 3c to take a commanding lead. Fifth gave jason5599 both a low and a flush draw when the 5s hit. Icedevil caught 10’s on both 5th and 6th, catching the 10c on 6th to make the nut flush and left jason5599 needing to hold his low to win. However, icedevil66 would catch a four on the river to give him a wheel to go with his flush, and Jason5599 finished in 5th place. He took home $1,781.80 for his strong finish.

foo flaw 4th

On a flop of 10d-Qh-10h during Limit Holde, Foo Flaw capped the betting with DimJarnaby35 and was all-in. Foo flaw held Jc-9d for an open-ended draw, and DimJarnaby35 held As-3h for high card and a backdoor flush draw. The turn and river both fell hearts to give DimJarnaby35 a flush and send foo flaw out in 4th. He received $2,567 for his efforts.

DimJarnaby35 and icedevil66 had been having a war of words at this final table. To quote icedevil66, he thought DimJarnaby35 was a “F@cking idiot and I hate idiot.” This was due to some unorthodox plays that DimJarnady35 made that wound up paying off for him. DimJarnaby35 seemed to make icedevil66 a regular target and he wound up being the beneficiary of several bad beats.

icedevil66 eliminated in 3rd

While icedevil66 deemed himself the best player, his stack continued to dwindle and he decided to go to war during Limit Holdem with 9h-8h for the remainder of his stack. This time, DimJarnaby35 woke up with Ah-Qd and they were off to the races. A queen on the flop gave DimJarnaby35 the lead but a 2nd heart on the turn gave icedevil66 some hope. A river 8d sealed icedevil66’s fate as he said “of course.” As maybe one final dig at his annoyed opponent, DimJarnaby35 simply stated “u played horrible” and icedevil66 was gone in 3rd place, taking home $3,926.

DimJarnaby35 started heads-up play with a 297,974 to 155,026 chip lead. ThePokerGeek fought and took over the chip lead a couple of different times. However, he play every hand and called raises when he shouldn’t and also stayed in pots a little long than he should. This eventually cost him when he shipped back to back huge pots to DimJarnaby35 after DimJarnaby35 had flopped the nuts on one hand and turned them on another.

ThePokerGeek was down to 10,026 chips at the start of Razz and amazingly was able to hang on for several hands, working his way up to over 50k in chips. The final hand of the event was a razz hand that saw DimJarnaby35 three-bet on third with an 8 showing and ThePokerGeek call with a jack showing. His last 2,104 went in on 4th with him holding a J-6-3-A. Amazingly, he was ahead of DimJarnaby35 who held J-8-6-4. Both would make a jack high on 5th, with ThePokerGeek holding the better hand. The turn and river double paired ThePokerGeek, but the river was kind to DimJarnaby35, giving him a 5 and an eight-low. ThePokerGeek finished runner-up and took home $6,040 for his strong performance.
While his play may have seemed unorthodox by some, DimJarnaby35 is this week’s Sunday Night HORSE champion. He took advantage of a good run of cards while he could and then played relatively solid once the other players started loosening up. His image allowed his players to hang their own necks and eventually shipped the $9,060 first place prize his way.

Congratulations to DimJarnaby35, Sunday Night HORSE champion.
